Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO7), Augusta, GA., intends to negotiate a sole source (FFP) contract with CEPHEID, 904 Caribbean Dr. Sunnyvale, CA, 94089-1189 for Cost-Per-Test (CPT) Rental services on the existing Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity Instrument. for Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta GA 30904. The term of the contract is six (6) months. With date of award in October 2017 March 31, 2017. This contract action is for Cost-Per-Test Rental services on the existing Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity Instrument which includes instrument support, reagent products and accessories. CPT rental services shall be provided by CEPHEID in accordance with the statement of work. The procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 8.405-6, Limiting Sources, as an urgent and compelling need (FAR 8.406-6(a)(1)(i)(A). A Limited Sources Justification and Approval will be posted. The order is under schedule GS-07F-0597T, NAICS code 325413, size standard of 1250 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responses received will only be considered for future purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any responses should be emailed to Brigitte Huffin at Brigitte.Huffin@va.gov by 4PM Eastern Standard time on October 30, 2017.
