Description
Request for Information full document This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This RFI is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to fulfill requirements for the installation of modular facilities in accordance with the specifications listed in Section B - General Requirements. This RFI is issued solely for market research and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Companies responding to this RFI are advised that a response does not ensure participation in a future solicitation or contract award. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with participation in this RFI. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this RFI. If pricing information is provided based upon this request it will be solely used for market research and will not be used in any binding form to the Government. The Government reserves the right to follow up on a one-on-one basis with RFI respondents to gain additional information or clarity about information submitted. This Sources Sought outlines the minimum requirement for the design, fabrication and delivery of a relocatable building at 386 Air Expeditionary Wing, Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. The relocatable building must be easily erected by a small crew and a light crane. The total installation time shall not exceed 72 hours. The dimension of the structure must be at least 40-ft by 40-ft with eave height of 12-ft. The structure shall have minimum R-value of 20 for the walls and 30 for the roof. The structure shall have total of 2 personal doors, 1 single door and 1 double door on opposite sides. The exterior cladding shall be colored to match the architectural style of the base. The structure must be able to withstand the design wind speed of 110 mph (177km/h). The electrical package shall be compatible with the local voltage requirement of 220V/415V, 3 phase, 50Hz. The electrical package shall include the lighting package, receptacles, and an 200A panel. The HVAC package must be designed to efficiently control the heat gain or loss due to lighting, equipment, personnel and building exposures. Safe heating/ cooling is required to maintain the facility temperature within a temperature range, 68-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The HVAC units shall be designed and built for the Gulf climate conditions. The delivery location for this requirement is Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait.
