- CHESS 101 - Program Overview ITES-SW2 Information Exchange Briefing Map and Directions to ITES-SW2 Information Exchange DESCRIPTION: Information Exchange for Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - Software 2 (ITES-SW2) PURPOSE: Product Leader (PL) Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) will hold an information exchange in an effort to engage industry and facilitate discussion regarding the next iteration of the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - Software (ITES-SW) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, ITES-SW 2. This will be a three-day event. Day One will consist of an informational brief presented by PL CHESS and an opportunity for Industry questions. (See attachment entitled ITES-SW 2, Information Exchange Briefing. Note: This attachment is subject to change.) Day Two and Day Three will consist of scheduled one-on-one sessions between PL CHESS and Industry. PL CHESS aims to gain insight on several topic areas that are outlined below. INFORMATION EXCHANGE DATE AND LOCATION: Date: 12 December 2017 Time: 10:00 AM -12:00 PM, Eastern Time Location: Thurman Auditorium (Humphreys Hall), Building 247, 5500 21st Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. See attachment entitled, Map and Directions, for building location and parking information. SCHEDULED ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS: Date(s): 13-14 December 2017 Time: one (1) hour sessions between 9:00AM -4:30PM, Eastern Time Location: CHESS, 9351 Hall Road, BLDG 1456, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 CHESS will be conducting a total of 10 scheduled one-on-one sessions during Day Two and Day Three of the event. CHESS will assign one-on-one session times on a first-come, first-serve basis during the Information Exchange RSVP process. Vendors who are unable to secure a one-on-one session will have the opportunity to provide feedback via a survey to be provided at a later date. Topic areas to be discussed during one-on-one sessions: 1) Scope: To include your company's feedback regarding the software categories proposed for the future contracts and any suggestions for changes. (Please reference the attachment entitled "ITES-SW 2, Information Exchange Briefing, page 11, Scope, for a list of software categories being considered for ITES-SW2.) 2) Pricing: To include your company's feedback regarding pricing strategies (for example, priced catalogs, non-priced catalogs, tiered pricing, etc.) 3) Best Value versus Lowest Price Technically Acceptable: To include your company's feedback regarding these source selection techniques 4) Contract Team Arrangements: To include feedback regarding your company's concerns, questions and/or suggestions for contract team arrangements. Does your company have experience with contract team arrangements? 5) Publisher Relationships: Please provide a list of your company's existing software publisher relationships. Please provide feedback regarding any issues, concerns or suggestions for increasing relationships to ensure sole-source environments are not created within the future IDIQs. 6) Common Software Terms and Conditions: To include your company's feedback regarding the most common terms and conditions shared by software publishers. 7) Catalog Structure: To include your company's feedback regarding suggestions for what the catalog structure should be and how it should be managed in regard to technology refreshes. 8) Other: Please provide feedback regarding any additional issues, concerns, suggestions, or questions related to the future IDIQs. Please also indicate if you would like to reserve a one-on-one session with CHESS. Vendors will be allowed to include two (2) additional attendees during the one-on-one sessions. Vendors scheduled for one-on-one sessions will be provided a confirmation email with specific details pertinent to their session.
