Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to pursue a sole source procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for the Nanion PatchLiner Octo. This instrument is the only equipment that is compatible and interoperable with the current PatchLiner instrument. Additionally, this instrument is the only one of its kind flexible to perform wide-ranging research experiments and high quality scientific research. Purchasing another instrument would not allow the VA to compare quantitative results from the existing and new equipment. Furthermore, other software cannot replicate the experimental flexibility and data quality of the PatchLiner by Nanion Technologies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than November 7th, 12:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
