***** PRE-SOLICITATION 36C10E18R0033 ***** THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AT THIS TIME. ****** THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY ****** The Department of Veterans Affairs, Los Angeles Office Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service intends to solicit a firm fixed price contract for home remodeling services for a Chapter 31 Veteran s residence located in Palos Verdes, California A Request for Quotes for this project is estimated to be released on or about November 20, 2017. Details will be available in the upcoming solicitation. Interested parties are encouraged to periodically re-visit the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: www.fbo.gov for further information concerning this intended acquisition. Project Description: The scope of this project is to provide several changes to the Veteran s home with goals of making the home safer and more accessible/usable for the veteran. The main goal is to provide safe emergency egress to and from the home. Improve the driveway grade from the street to garage. Provide for drainage in front of residence. Provide two exterior lifts. There three levels inside the residence that will require two platform stair lifts. Provide and install ADA railings in various locations. Replace pool decking and add additional decking in various locations. The master bath room requires completion. Electrical service panel will be replaced and backed up with a stand by generator. Additional items will be included in the Performance Work Statement. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required according to the specifications of the contract. The Contractor will be responsible for all permits as required by the local township. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. Contractor is responsible for all field conditions, dimensions and measurements prior to any work performed. Estimated Price Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Estimated Project Completion: 12 weeks Place of Performance: Palos Verdes, California NAICS Code: 236118 Residential Remodelers | Small Business Size Standard: $36.5 Million Set- Aside: This acquisition will be awarded under the Veterans First Contracting Program as a total 100% set-aside to eligible Small Businesses (SB). All offerors shall be CVE certified in VETBIZ at the time of quotation submission. All interested SBs must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/.
