Description

Description: SERVICES- PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS: SAKURA TISSUE PROCESSOR TEK VIP 5 & TEK VIP 6 This is a Combined Synopsis Solicitation for commercial items and will be conducted in accordance FAR Part 13 (FAC 2005-95). This acquisition uses a tiered evaluation method of quotes, also known as a cascading evaluation of quotes. The solicitation is considered set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns but a tiered or cascading order of precedence for evaluating quotes is specified in the solicitation/Request for Quote document. If no award can be made at the first tier to a SDVOSB, evaluations will continue at the next lower tier until award can be made. Veteran owned concerns must be certified in the VIP system at the time of the receipt of quote (solicitation due date) as indicated in the Request for Quote (RFQ) document. Quoters shall fully complete, sign, and submit the attached RFQ document and include any additional documentation being requested therein. The purpose of this Solicitation is to acquire Preventive Maintenance and Repairs for the Sakura Tissue Processor VIP TEK 5 and TEK 6, histology equipment used in tissue processing, supporting the Bruce W. Carter, Miami VA Healthcare System. It is the intention of the Government to solicit via RFQ 36C24818Q0039, NAICS Code: 811219 in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedules of the solicitation and award a contract on a competitive basis. The contract resulting from the solicitation shall be a Firm Fixed Price contract. In an effort to meet the green initiative, documents shall be submitted electronically via email. Emails shall not be more than five (5) megabytes in size. Quotes submitted by any other means other than emailed will not be accepted. The electronic solicitation is hereby announced on this 3rd day of the month of November 2017. The quoter shall be responsible for downloading all solicitation documents/amendments from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (www.fbo.gov) without further notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Interested firms must be fully registered and active in the SAM database www.sam.gov. All correspondence and any and all questions must be submitted in via email to: ana.vazquez@va.gov the Contract Specialist. The Contracting Officer is William L. Bridger. All Requests for Information (RFI s) or questions are due by 17 November 2017 at 11:00am EST.
