Description

The VISN 10 Network Contracting Office (NCO 10) hereby gives notice of its intent to award a sole source contract to Biomerieux Inc., 100 Rodolphe St. Durham, NC 27712-9402 to provide the Cincinnati VA Medical Center delivery of reagents specific to the Vidas 3 reagents for the testing of patient serum and/or plasma. NCO10 intends to negotiate with only source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Cincinnati VA Medical Center current utilizes Biomerieux s instrumentation for patient testing and all testing currently performed on the instruments are compliant with current test methodologies within the Chemistry Department of the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals, nor is it a solicitation of offers. Any response to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and any capability statement provided must address the items listed above. Written communication received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no affirmative written response is received on or before November 8, 2017, the contract will be awarded without further notice. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Inquiries will only be accepted via email at Jenifer.mccune@va.gov. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
