Description
STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) for Interpreter Services A. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS A.1 Description of Work A.1.1. The purpose of this contract is to obtain onsite interpreter services for weekly meetings, and various other assignments for the Deaf and hard of hearing employees (hereinafter referred to as Deaf) on an as needed basis at U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE), Saint Paul District to include interpreting simultaneously from: • American Sign Language (ASL), • Pidgin Sign English (PSE), • Conceptually Accurate Signed English (CASE) • Signed English • Signed Languages mentioned above (in reverse) to spoken English, The Contractor shall provide interpretation onsite at the District Headquarters in Saint Paul, MN and at other locations as needed, as described here-in with all necessary personnel as requested per individual task order. All task orders shall be performed in accordance with this statement of work. Remote Travel may be required. A.1.2. A sample list of onsite interpreting events is provided below. This list is not all inclusive and is subject to change dependent upon the requirements of USACE Saint Paul: • Staff meetings (there is a regularly scheduled weekly staff meeting) • Commemorative programs, • Award ceremonies, • Safety talks/training • Discussions on work procedures, policies, or assignments for formal and informal settings, • Quarterly performance discussions, • Annual performance appraisals, • Disciplinary discussions, • Basic staff training, classroom training, • Interviews • All Hands meetings, and • Other ad hoc assignments similar in nature on an as-need basis. A.2 General Operating Conditions A.2.1 Place of Performance. The Contractor shall perform interpreting services for USACE at the District Office located at 180 Fifth Street East, Saint Paul, MN 55101. Other Federal Facilities may include but are not limited to, USACE remote sites in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Services will be performed in offices, training rooms, auditoriums or conference rooms. On occasion, a possible onsite visit in the field may also be required. A.2.2 Period of Performance. This indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract will be established for a one (1) year base period with two (2) - one (1) year option periods. Individual Task Orders will be issued as work is required.
