- Solicitation Questions and Answers A00002 Answers are related to Legionella drinking water sampling (not dental sampling): Can you clarify the number of samples that will be taken for Legionella and total heterotrophic bacterial counts on a quarterly basis? The pricing schedule lists 304 for Legionella and 240 for total heterotrophic bacterial count. However, the facilities list has a total of 20 samples per building location which comes to 60 samples per quarter. The facilities list mentions both Legionella and the Dental water lines indicating each would have a total of 240 samples annually (not including the potential for 10% follow-up testing or testing beyond 10%) Legionella drinking water sampling: 304 is broken down to 76 per quarter plus; the VHA directive has a minimum of 20 samples (10 hot, 10 cold) per building. The facility has customized our sampling plan as seen below. Bldg 5 is 20 samples (10 hot, 10 cold) Bldg 1/1W is 32 samples (16 hot, 16 cold) this is bedded areas and random sampling throughout the building Bldg 12 is 24 samples (12 hot, 12 cold) In reference to the Price/Cost Schedule Item #0003 and #0006, if we do not know how many additional samples will be requested, how is it possible to determine a total cost for this line? What is the set price per sample if additional sampling is required In reference to the Price/Cost Schedule Item #0007, in the description, there is a line that says - Samples collected with labor to collect samples. Can the description of this line item be clarified? These are collected during the quarterly sampling, but during the cooling season (cooling season ranges from end of March to end of October, which depends on temperatures) The RFP states that re-sampling must occur within 24h of direction by the VA. Will re-sampling be limited to regular business hours? We would prefer sampling during regular business hours but may require to be done on weekend or holiday, see paragraph d (as if supplies are sent to us then we could do the sampling) Will re-sampling have to occur on weekends or holidays? See above Will re-sampling be escorted by VA personal? Yes Will VA consider having VA personal collect the resample assuming that vendor will provide supplies to accomplish the task efficiently? Yes
