- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Ivanti Suite 500, 698 West 10000 South, South Jordan, UT 84095, for one year of maintenance for HEAT Software. Maintenance includes upgrades, updates, and fixes, as well as technical, e-mail and telephone support. Maintenance on HEAT software is proprietary and only Ivanti/HEAT has access to the source code necessary to provide the required maintenance subscription. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) "Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization". Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
