- RFI - Small Form Factor THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541713, Research and Development in Nanotechnology. Contractors must identify their business type (i.e., large, small, small and disadvantaged, 8(a) certified, woman-owned small, HUB Zone certified small, or service disabled veteran-owned small business) in their response. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Command, Power and Integration (CP&I) is conducting a market survey to identify sources with the interest and capability to provide technologies related to small form factor Services Infrastructure for tactical Command Posts (CPs). The ultimate goal is to identify potential solutions for reducing the implementation's Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) profile, while providing the maximum amount of processor, memory, and storage performance possible. This sources sought notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids/proposals. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought announcement. Responses will assist the Government in determining potential responsible sources and to determine the technical capability of the domestic production base. All respondents are required to complete the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) process to be considered eligible for any potential Department of Defense contracts. CCR registration information can be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov/. Responses must be no longer than three (3) pages in length and should include a description of capabilities and technical specifications. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Tammy M Woodard, Contracting Officer at tammy.m.woodard2.civ@mail.mil, and Denise L Svezzese, Contract Specialist at denise.l.svezzese.civ@mail.mil, no later than 5:00 PM ET 20 NOVEMBER 2017.
