Description
Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to correct multiple security deficiencies at the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System Grand Island VA Medical Center located at 2201 North Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803. Work includes, but is not limited to: (1) installation of Electronic Physical Access Control Systems (PACS); (2) installation of robbery/panic duress alarms; (3) installation of an intrusion detection alarm system; (4) installation of concrete bollards or similar barriers; and (5) installation of security mesh screens on windows. All work shall be performed in accordance with the contract terms and conditions, specifications and drawings, and all applicable VA and local codes. Solicitation Number 36C263-18-B-0004 this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about December 15, 2017. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit will be held sometime between the dates of January 3 and 5, 2018. (See solicitation when available for specific date/time/location of Organized Site Visit). Bids are tentatively scheduled to be due on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/location of public bid opening). The Period of Performance is expected to be 90 calendar days from the receipt of Notice-to-Proceed (See solicitation when available for actual Period of Performance and Phasing requirements). THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
