- 2 November 16, 2017 This is a source(s) sought notice only and it is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS codes 812331 or 812332. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted to Federal Business Opportunity website (www.FBO.gov). A response to this sources sought notice is not an adequate reply to the forthcoming solicitation. Statement of Work: The Sioux Falls Veterans Administration Health Care System (SFVAHCS) 2501 W 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105 requires floor mat provided by the contractor throughout the complex. The vendor will exchange and clean the floor mats on a weekly basis on a normal basis. The vendor will exchange and clean the floor mats on a twice weekly basis when requested due to weather and foot traffic conditions. Please review the below specifications: Specifications: The Contractor will provide the following commercial-grade floor mats: (17) 3x5 exterior scraper mat (12) 3x5 walk-off mat (15) 4x6 walk-off mat (13) 4x8 walk-off mat (4) 3x10 walk-off/runner mat *All sizes listed are estimates and other, similar sizes may be considered. The Contractor-owned floor mats shall be exchanged at fifteen (15) general locations throughout the SFVAHCS campus. Ten (10) of these locations are at the main hospital; five (5) of these locations are at smaller buildings on the campus. The exchange of floor mats shall occur at the same time(s) each week and no location shall be without a floor mat at any point in time. The number and location of floor mats is subject to change throughout the life of the contract due to varying needs of the SFVAHCS. The floor mats shall be clean; shall lay flat on ground; and shall be free from stains, tears, holes and/or open seams. Normal wear and tear of the floor mats incurred from use of this contract at the SFVAHCS is assumed. It is assumed that the floor mats will need to be replaced routinely. The floor mats shall be constructed for use in heavy traffic and inclement weather; shall be constructed to trap dirt, debris, and moisture; and shall have appropriate backing to stay in place on floor (i.e. rubber-backing for smooth floors, gripper-backing for carpeted floors). The Contractor shall provide the COR, or designee, with a service slip after each weekly exchange to include the number of mats exchanged as well as the date and time of exchange. Response to Request To respond to this sources sought notice, please complete the attached document titled Sources Sought Notice and return via email to the Contract Specialist, John Milroy, Email: john.milroy@va.gov by 4:00PM Friday November 22, 2017 This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this sources sought notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The purpose of this sources sought notice is strictly for market research purposes. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
