- SOURCES SOUGHT: The information within this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and does not bind the Government in any way. Updated information will be provided in a subsequent notice or synopsis, if and when necessary. Sources being sought that can demonstrate the capability to immediately deliver (Point of Origin) a 200 meter (m) Wet Gap Bridge System with Floating Pier Assemblies from the contractor's existing inventory supporting urgent Line of Communication Bridge (LOCB) requirements. 1. One each bridge is needed with the following characteristics: • Multi-spans up to 200m Wet Gaps for MLC 80 Tracked (normal) / 110 Wheeled (caution) vehicle crossings • Provides a minimum 4.2m roadway width between curbs • Employed as modular 40m clear-spans connected to supporting floating pier assemblies • Includes all required launch and erection equipment, multi-span / span junction components, bearing components, abutment and jacking grillages, floating barge / pontoon assemblies, conventional kedge anchorage & winch assemblies, and hand tools necessary to construct, launch, and emplace the bridge. 2. In addition to the bridging hardware, Technical Advisor(s) for OCONUS mission support will be required. The advisor(s) will provide technical and training support prior to and during the installation of the bridge. Period of performance to be determined. 3. If a contract is awarded, delivery of the bridge must be made within 15 days, Point of Origin. NOTE: NO SOLICITATION IS ISSUED AT THIS TIME. SOLICITATION RELEASE IS ANTICIPATED ON OR ABOUT December 11, 2017. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government will in no way be obligated to purchase all or any part of the items described above. The U.S. Government is providing this information as general information only. The U.S. Government will in no way be bound to this information and responses received if or when any solicitation is issued.
