Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the de-leading and repainting of the emergency service gate, located within the gate tower at the Surry Mountain Dam, in Surry, New Hampshire. The NAICS code for this project is 238320 with a small business size standard of $15,000,000. The project is planned to be issued in December 2017, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The construction will extend over a one-month period occurring in the winter of 2017-2018. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. The location of work to be performed under this contract shall be at the Surry Mountain Dam, located in Surry, New Hampshire. This project consists of the following components: • Construction of a containment system for the emergency service gate, which is located inside of the gate tower and is approximately 12 feet high, 7 feet wide and one foot thick. • Complete removal of existing lead-containing paint system to bare metal through abrasive blasting methods from gate and outer surface of pulley mechanism that suspends gate. • Disposal of lead-containing paint debris and spent blast media. • Application of primer, stripe and top coats onto the gate and the outer surface of the pulley. Please note this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about December, 2017. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov).
