Description
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office is seeking marketing information, from responsible sources to gain knowledge of potential qualified business sources capable of providing specialized maintenance services for two high speed, high precision milling and metal working machines manufactured by Starrag-Heckert. The services include the implementation of preventative evaluation, assessment, and preventative and minor corrective maintenance of the following components: a. Oil Filters b. Axis Drives c. Ram/Head(s) Interface and Alignment Checks d. Head(s) spindle interface e. Head Changer f. Tool Changer g. Blum Laser Tool Setter h. Geometry Checks i. Coolant System j. Chilled Water System k. Hydraulic System l. Pneumatic System m. Tool/Head Clamping System n. Electronic Systems connected to machine functions o. Continued instruction on Siemens Step 7 and NC/PLC Programming The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) considered for this effort is 336611 Ship Build and Repair, the SBA business size is 1,250 employees. This is a Request For Information (RFI) notice and should not be construed as a solicitation announcement. The submission of this announcement is for the purposes of compliance with FAR 5.205. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure or compete for any services or supplies. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, catalog, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the FLC Norfolk Philadelphia Office. Product and company information, and CAGE code must be submitted by email to luis.aymerich@navy.mil. Submission data shall be received by 5:00 PM, Eastern Time, 04 December 2017 and shall not exceed one (1) 8-1/2 x 11 page for company information and one (1) 8-1/2 x 11 page for each individual item. This synopsis is only for market research purposes. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposal nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this notice. All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from release outside the U.S. Government. Interested parties shall address this requirement through this RFI in written format via email to luis.aymerich@navy.mil Reference: Market Research for Starrag maintenance services.
