- Description
- The Government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract with Advanced Acoustic Concepts (AAC), 425 Oser Avenue, Hauppauge, NY 11788, on a sole source basis for production and delivery of a minimum of 10 and up to 30 Mid-Frequency Active Sonobuoy prototypes in support of a Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) program. This action is based on The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) selection of PMA-264 to conduct a FCT. AAC will be operating in conjunction with THALES Underwater Systems, SAS (TUS) for this effort. A sole source contract is consistent with the terms identified within this announcement upon the basis of the authority provided in 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In accordance with DFARS 206.302-1(b), this authority is applicable for "acquisitions of test articles and associated support services from a designated foreign source under the DoD Foreign Comparative Testing Program." This notice is not a request for proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No phone inquiries will be entertained.
