Description
THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to increase the capacity of contract W912WJ-16-D-0014 from $35M to $47M with DESIGN AND PRODUCTION, INC. (D&P) on a sole source basis. This sole source contract increase is required for completion of the remaining exhibit fabrication efforts for the National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) at Fort Belvoir, VA. The bulk of the fabrication work has already been contracted for with D&P. The increase in capacity will allow for all the museum exhibit fabrication to be completed by a single fabricator, ensure consistency, and enable the museum to open on its scheduled opening date. The work under this IDIQ contract includes providing: all materials and services to provide for the planning, fabrication, installation, set-up and operational testing of national museum quality exhibits. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 10 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Submit any responses within 10 days of the posting of the notice of intent via email: Elizabeth.K.Glasgow@usace.army.mil (list W912WJ18X0008 in the subject line of the email) or mail to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ATTN: Elizabeth Glasgow, 696 Virginia Rd., Concord, MA 01742 Contracting Office Address: USACE District, New England, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751
