- This Sources Sought notice is being issued as part of Market Research efforts to identify interested, qualified parties and determine the acquisition strategy and appropriate small business set-aside for this project. This work involves construction of a new boat launch ramp near the site of the existing Dangerous River Boat Ramp. The work area is located at the Dangerous River Bridge east of Yakutat, Alaska. It is located near the end of Forest Highway 10 approximately 30 miles from the junction with Airport Road. The expected period of performance is 365 days starting April 1, 2018. Major work items include the following: 1. Construction of an aggregate driveway, roadway, parking areas and trails; 2. Installation of contractor provided pre-cast concrete plank boat ramp; 3. Installation of site amenities including signs, bulletin boards and log barriers. The Forest Service is requesting written statements of interest in response to this notice. Written responses should include the following information: 1. Business Name 2. Business Address 3. Business DUNS 4. Business Contact Information (name, address, phone, e-mail) 5. Small Business Status (SB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.) 6. Short Description of Firm's Experience performing the following types of work: a. Boat Launch Ramp Construction b. Similar Work in Remote Locations c. Work That Involved Elements of Dewatering of Project Work Area When responding to Experience element, please include the following information related to specific project experience: 1. Project Name 2. Project Location 3. Project Owner (the person, company or government agency who hired your firm) 4. Project Value and Date of Performance 5. Was your firm the prime contractor or a subcontractor? If subcontractor, please state the total project value, the value of your subcontract and a description of the portion of the work your firm performed under the subcontract. 6. Any other information you feel will highlight relevant experience (e.g. project photos) The information collected in response to this notice is for market reserch purposes only. No awards will be made in response to this Sources Sought notice. This market research will assist the Forest Service in developing an acquisition strategy including determining the appropriate small business set aside for this requirement. A separate notice will be posted for the Pesoliciation Notice and the Soliciatation itself.
