- FDA-18-RFQ-1193447 The FDA's CTP is responsible for carrying out the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, which was passed by Congress in 2009. This law give the FDA broad authority to regulate the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of tobacco products. In order to regulate tobacco products, the FDA's Southeast Tobacco Laboratory requires an instrument that is capable of analyzing the resulting gas from the smoking of cigarettes. The purpose of this acquisition is to procure a 20-port linear smoking machine in order to analyze the resulting gas from the smoking of cigarettes. The Contractor shall provide a 20-port linear smoking machine equivalent to a Borgwaldt LX20 Linear smoking machine plus optional preventative maintenance and support services. Please see the attached RFQ for complete requirement details. Any parties interested in this requirement should thoroughly read the attached RFQ for technical specifications and submission instructions. Offerors must state how they meet or exceed the all requirements outlined in the RFQ. The FDA intends to issue a firm fixed-price purchase order based on the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. Quotes shall include all descriptive material necessary to determine whether the proposed product meets all technical specifications.
