- Redacted Justification and Approval Solicitation W25G1V-18-R-0006 Document SF 1449 Oferors must submit all required documents listed in the addendum and clause 52.212-2 in the attached SF 1449 solicitation document. This is published as a brand name sole source announcement under the statutory authority at 10 USC 2304(c) (1), and regulatory authority at FAR 6.302-1(c), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, Application for Brand Name Description. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Division E, Tobyhanna Branch, Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed priced contract for Brand Name only; EMCORE OPTIVA Fiber Optic equipment manufactured by EMCORE Corporation (EMCORE), 2015 Chestnut Street, Alhambra, CA 91803. EMCORE is the sole designer and developer of the OPTIVA Fiber Optic equipment. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. NAICS Code is 334220 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. The solicitation will be issued electronically only. No paper or disc copies will be issued. It is the responsibility of interested sources to periodically access the internet site through closing to obtain any amendments which may be issued. All amendments must be acknowledged in the proposal. Any resultant contract will be Firm Fixed-Price, one award. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of contract with any DoD agency and found to be responsible in accordance with FAR Subpart 9.1 - Responsibility of Prospective Contractors. Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 225.1- Buy American Act-Supplies, applies to this acquisition. DFARS 252.225-7001- Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program, will be included in the solicitation.
