- Description
- The US Army Corps of Engineers, pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B), intends to purchase brand name or proprietary components on a sole source basis. The Army has a need to procure HP Brand Name commercial PC equipment (desktops) with four-year (48 months) parts, labor, and Federal Keep Your Hard Drive (KYHD) warranties. The number of computers required is 18. The contract action will be a firm-firm-fixed price Delivery Order placed through the Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) system. In accordance with Army Regulation 25-1 CHESS is the Army's required source for purchases of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, desktops and laptop computers. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may provide specific information to the Army regarding their product for consideration as to whether their product meets the government's needs. Required Equipment: • HP Z8 G4 Workstation Double CPU- Intel Zeon 12-Core 3.0GHz CPU, 64GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD; 4TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD, Nvidia Quadro P4000 8GB GPU, DVD+/-RW Drive. Quantity -3 • HP Z8 G4 Workstation Single CPU - Intel Zeon 12-Core 3.0GHz CPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD; 4TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD, Nvidia Quadro P4000 8GB GPU, DVD+/-RW Drive - Quantity - 15 Features: • Higher-end processors allow for the running of modeling and CADD/GIS software, Hypac etc. • Minimum use of eight GBs of RAM on all machines or higher. • Solid-state drives that operate with less noise due to no spinning parts. All solid-state drives must be self-encrypting. Other information may be requested after initial response, either from individual respondents or all respondents. This notice is the only document that will be published notifying interested vendors of the government's intent. Interested vendors are advised that information provided to the Government in regard to the product components proposed will be considered proprietary information (unless clearly marked as available to the general public) and will not be released to the public or other interested vendors. The government may retain this information for its records indefinitely. Any vendor wishing to propose an alternative source must provide a copy of all relevant data demonstrating the alternative source satisfies the above requirements to Alex Heinzel at alexander.t.heinzel@usace.army.mil. This is not a request to respond to a solicitation.
