- Specification of tools required. Request for Information SUBJECT: Request for Information - Snap on Tools 1. This will be an official Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with FAR Part 52.215-3. Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated will be solely at the interested party's expense. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on Federal Business Opportunities (FedbizOpps) at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. 2. The 7th Contracting Squadron (7 CONS) intends to procure snap on tools to meet the specifications provided in the exceel spreadsheet attached to this fbo post. These tools must also include a lifetime warranty, along with on base pick up and replacement. For example, on a bi-weekly basis a representative stops by to pick up and drop off tools. The customer already possesses the foam inserts and boxes, so the tools must meet the exact requirements to fit in the pre-made inserts. The NAICS Code for this requirement is, 332216 - Saw Blade and Handtool Manufacturing. Respondents should indicate their size in relation to this size standard and indicate socio-economic status (i.e. SB, 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, WOSB, or SDVOSB). 3. The aforementioned information along with interest and capability statements are requested to be provided no later than 01 December 2017. Please answer all of the questions in as much detail as possible. 4. The requests for information are as follows: a. What would be the cost for the amount of tools following the exact specifications provided? b. What companies can provide and delivery the above mentioned tools? c. Will these items come with a lifetime warranty, as requested, and on base pick up and delivery of tools? 5. The information that is received from this RFI will be used to make the best decision on how to proceed with this acquisition. All information will be kept within the 7th Contracting Squadron, and will not be shared with any other potential offerors.
