THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT, NOR IS THIS A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY OR MAY NOT FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC 29209 seeks the availability of potential sources/vendors for the following services. The purpose of this document is to gain market knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification. All interested vendors are invited to provide information to contribute to this request for information including capability statements. Questions WILL NOT BE entertained now. All responses received will be evaluated to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy. Should a formal solicitation is posted, interested offerors MUST submit a completed SF1449 solicitation document along with ALL information requested within the Basis of Award to be considered for contract award. The Contractor shall provide labor, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to provide storage of old Veteran/patient hard copy records for the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Administration Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. The scope of work is as follows: Vendor must have access or a written contractual agreement with an approved NARA certified storage facility for retired records; Shipment of records from the current contractor s facility to the new facility; Shipment of the records still at the VAMC Columbia to the contractor s facility; A secure web site to order records, a data system to log in/out these records and the type/volume of records, and secure mailing of requested records. After all records are logged into contractor s facility a CD shall be provided of all records stored. Please respond only to the information requested below. The Dorn VA is specifically interested in locating Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Small Businesses, what is your firm s business size? Please provide the DUNS number associated with your company? Please acknowledge if your company is an approved NARA facility? Please provide the location of your storage facility? Please provide the name, phone number and e-mail address of the owner(s) of the storage facility. Please provide information (Contract Number, Point of Contact (reference) name, phone number and e-mail address) to document and support any contract history for either exact or similar services completed within the past 3 years with either any VA / Military / Other Government or Commercial facilities. All responses must be submitted in writing via e-mail to joseph.locke@va.gov no later than December 4, 2017 @ 5pm EST. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
