Description

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2, this posting is to notify industry of the intent of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to issue a series of modifications to contract N00024-17-C-4444 with Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) for the repair, restoration and modernization of USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62). Contract N00024-17-C-4444 was originally awarded to HII under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) and FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The additional requirements covered under the modifications include, but are not limited to, EDSRA maintenance, structural HVAC repairs, EDSRA modernization, and additional collision repair items. These contract modifications will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. HII is the only responsible source capable of providing the required supplies/services within the required timeframe. This announcement is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal, sources sought, or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation.
