Description

THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR VA SOLICITATION NUMBER: 36C25218B0014 THIS OPPORTUNITY IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON OR AROUND DECEMBER 8, 2017 VIA THE FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY WEBSITE. This is a Firm Fixed Price construction project to replace and upgrade the existing medium voltage cable and switchgear in Circuits 2, 3, & 5 on the main campus of the VA Illiana Health Care Systems (VAIHCS) located at 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL 61832. All work will be done in accordance with the drawings and specifications for this project. The Period of Performance is Two Hundred Seventy (270) calendar days. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210 with a size standard of $15 million. The procurement magnitude is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond is required. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, Solicitation 36C25218B0014 will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-aside. In order to be considered for award, the contractor shall be CVE-Verified as a SDVOSB vendor in https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov by the date and time specified for receipt of proposals. No other sources will be considered. All interested parties submitting a bid must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM) at time of submission. This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation notice is NOT a request for proposals or submittals of any kind. The Department of Veterans Affairs plans to issue the official solicitation on or around December 8, 2017 with the bid opening on or around January 8, 2018. The solicitation is formatted as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with the FAR Part 14.4 and VAAR Part 814.1, Sealed Bidding. The Government intends on issuing the IFB solicitation via www.FedBizopps.gov. Any amendments will also be posted on the website for downloading. This will be the normal method for distributing amendments; therefore, it is the offerors responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to this solicitation.
