- This is an amendment to a previously synopsized Request for Proposals to rehabilitate the Barnes Point Water System at the Lake Crescent area, Olympic National Park, WA. This amendment no. 0002 is necessary to (1) Extend the response date of the solicitation, (2) Announcement that the project period of performance is changed, and (3) Add the pre-proposal site visit notes. (1) The response date is changed to Tuesday, January 9, 2018. (2) The project period of performance is changed from starting in January 2018 to instead starting in Fall 2018. This is new information that will affect preparation of proposals. After award, the contractor will have from February to August/September 2018 for review/approval of all pre-construction submittals, so that work can begin in Fall 2018 (anticipating October 2018) as agreed by the parties. Target timeframe for water outages to occur is now November/December 2018 and shall be coordinated with the NPS to ensure adequate notification to customers. This change in period of performance will be included in revised versions of the "Terms/Conditions" and "READ ME FIRST" documents, which will be revised and incorporated into Amendment no. 0003, which will also include the final version of the project specifications and drawings. At this time, for this Amendment no. 0002, the change to period of performance shall be noted by all interested parties, as a heads-up, and to look for full details in the next amendment that will include the revised terms-conditions document. (3) The pre-proposal site visit/site walk and Q&A occurred at 2pm (PST) on 11/30/17, as previously announced, and was well attended. The site visit notes are incorporated into this solicitation as Attachment no. 11. HOW TO FIND THE ATTACHMENTS. Standard Form 30, Amendment 0002, is incorporated into this solicitation as Attachment no. 10. The "Site Visit Notes" is a new attachment, incorporated into this solicitation as Attachment no. 11 dated 11/30/17. REMINDER: PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY 4:30pm (PST) ON JANUARY 9, 2018, SUBMITTED EITHER ELECTRONICALLY VIA EMAIL TO PHAEDRA_FULLER@NPS.GOV OR ELECTRONICALLY VIA FEDCONNECT.
