Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Leica Biosystems Imaging Inc., 1360 Park Center Dr., Vista, CA 92081 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. The period of performance is for a 12-month period (base year) and four each option years (renewable yearly). The NAICS code is 333314. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may submit a written response via email to Scott Morrison at the email address below by 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on December 11, 2017. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information received will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA will proceed with the sole source award to Leica Biosystems Imaging Inc. The anticipated award date of this requirement is 11 December, 2017. No collect calls will be accepted. Service assistance to include resolution of malfunctions to include parts and labor. Such assistance to be provided either by telephone or on-site visit by a Leica Microsystems technical representative. The following services and associated parts and labor are included in the full service : 1) Aperio hardware installation; 2) AT2 Upgrade 3) Aperio Hardware Services a.
