Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veteran Affairs, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a contract to Scanlan International, Inc., 1 Scanlan Plaza, Saint Paul, MN, 55107 on a sole source basis utilizing FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition, procedures in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is to acquire surgical instruments for expansion of the Richmond VA Medical Center s Operating Rooms. Only Scanlan Instruments shall be accepted due to existing kits and expansion of said kits. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received in writing within three days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly be able to provide the services outlined in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
