This is a Special Notice to award commodity Purchase Order for Emergency for Philips Energy Storage Unit (ESU) battery. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-3(b) (1), the VA network Contracting Office 2, on behalf of the Brooklyn VA Medical Center (VAMC), intends to issue a sole source award under solicitation 36C24218Q0143 to Philips Healthcare Division (22100 Bothell Everett Highway Bothell, WA 98021-8431) in the amount of $7,783.20 for above stated supply, for the Brooklyn Biomed Engineer service at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209-7104. The supply is to include all associated parts in this requirement, are proprietary to the OEM, Philips Healthcare System, as stated by the OEM company letter, no other vendor is authorized to provide parts or services. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the primary Point of Contact listed below. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Aleta.Jennette@va.gov and received by 10:00AM EST on December 14, 2017. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
