Synopsis Knudsen Mini-Sounders Fathometers W912HN18Q5005 NAICS: 334511 Size Standard: 1250 employees This requirement is to support the Operation-Navigation Management Branch at United States Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Georgia. This acquisition is being offered as a sole source solicitation and will result in a Fixed Price Contract Award. Description of Work: This is for the procurement of two (2) Knudsen mini-sounders fathometers. The Mini Sounder Single Channel Echosounder consists of one (1) frequency agile channels, user selectable range of 24-210 kHz. Unit housed in a watertight diecast aluminum enclosure, operates on DC power, up to 1kW output, transducers extra. Includes Windows SounderSuite USB Package with EchoControl Client/Server & Post Survey software, supporting utilities, user's manual and interface cables. All of the survey vessels in the Savannah District are equipped with transducers and fathometers manufactured by Knudsen Engineering Limited. If we purchase fathometers from another company, we would encounter compatibility issues with the existing transducers. This is not a request for quote. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 3:00pm Eastern Time, Thursday, 28 December 2018. Procurement Method: The contract will be solicited and procured using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR 13.1 Authority: The Government intends to procure from only one source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
