- Statement of Work (SOW) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Continuing Education Units (CEU) A. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of Project: EMT Continuing Education Units 2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the tasks and deliverables described in this Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor shall provide Continuing Education Units in accordance with National Registry EMT (https://www.nremt.org/rwd/public) and New Jersey State EMT (http://www.state.nj.us/health/ems/) standards and requirements for recertification. 3. Requirements: National Registry Emergency Medical Technicians are required to obtain 48 Continuing Education Units during a two year period. 4. Type of Contract Contemplated: This will be a firm-fixed priced purchase order. B. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS • Contractor will complete two Continuing Education Unit classes per month. • Both classes for the month will be the same subject. (1 class per shift) • Classes will be conducted from January to September for a total of 18 classes. • Classes will meet all standards set forth by National Registry EMT (https://www.nremt.org/rwd/public) and New Jersey State (http://www.state.nj.us/health/ems/) to ensure that CEU credit is obtained. • Contractor will provide a list of topics to pick from. (Minimum of 18 topics). List is subject to CG approval. • CEUs courses will be a minimum of 3 credit hours each. • All Classes will be completed on board Training Center Cape May at location of our choosing. C. GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES • Government will provide facility/classroom and computer/monitor. D. DELIVERY OR DELIVERABLES • Classes provided will meet current standards set forth by National Registry and New Jersey State. • Classes will be taught with modern practices and standards. E. TRAVEL N/A F. CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - KEY PERSONNEL • All employees of the contractor should meet the standards set forth by National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (https://www.nremt.org/rwd/public) and New Jersey State Department of Health (http://www.state.nj.us/health/ems/). • Each individual class should be taught by a person considered a qualified EMT instructor on said topic. TRACEN Cape May Fire and Emergency Services have the final decision on who qualifies. G. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: • All contractor employees coming onto TRACEN Cape May installation must check in at the visitor center. Directions and instructions are given upon arrival at the main gate. All contractor employees will be required to show a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration and current insurance. H. PLACE AND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE • Dates and times of training will be determined after award of the contract. • All trainings will be completed no later than September 30th, 2018.
