Description
Copy of Bill of Material-DRAFT 2 N00164-18-S-NB25 -SOURCES SOUGHT- INFORMATION TO MEET REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION REQURIEMENTS OF FIXED SITE SHELTERS AND RECEIVER/TRANSMITTER PODS. FSC 8145 AND 5450 - NAICS 332439 Issue Date: 4 December 2017- Closing Date: 5 January 2018 Amendment 0002 is issued in response to questions received from the Sources Sought posting. Question: It is unclear from the FBO Notice if the Government desires a Sources Sought response from interested parties. Please clarify. Answer: Yes this is a sources sought advertisement. Question: What are the dimensions of the Receiver/Transmitter PODs? Answer: Receiver/Transmitter Pod Dimensions: 57.94" high, by 34.75" wide, by 58.0" deep. Question: Are they standard 20' ISO Containers? Answer: This is a custom size that the Government owns Government Purpose Rights to. This is a cut down Quad-Con container. There are requirements for plywood flooring, tie-downs, and cut-outs on the sides of the Quad-con. Question: Does the Government plan to make all drawings available at the time of RFP release? Answer: All the drawings will be available with the RFP when the package is released for those interested parties registered in JCP. Question: When do you anticipate RFP release? Answer: Any anticipated RFP will be communicated in a synopsis via Fedbizopps. Question: Who is the contractor that built the prototypes? Answer: SAIC was the design agent / system integrator. Question: Is this procurement a follow-on to an earlier production contract? Answer: No. Question: If so, who is the incumbent? Answer: This is not a follow on and there is no incumbent. Question: Do you anticipate a single five-year award for this effort? Answer: Any anticipated contract action will be communicated in a synopsis via Fedbizopps. Question: Would you be able to clarify the BoM structure. Is the "I1B1 Shipping Container" (which has a Sea Box/0FXA9 part number) the actual fixed site shelter or is it a shipping container that the shelters are shipped in? Answer: The SEABOX 0FXA9 part number is the Actual Shelter/Shipping Container. The first drawing on the BOM for the Shelter is the Name Plate that is attached to the SEABOX container. The Government will clarify this with the Design / Integration contractor. Question: Do the Fixed Site Shelters and Receiver/Transmitter Pods both use the same basic shelter? Answer: The Receiver/Transmitter Pod is a sub-set of the Shelter and can be a stand-alone unit. The Government will provide two (2) BOMs (one (1) for the total shelter system and one (1) for the Receiver/Transmitter) as part of the solicitation. Question: Would it be possible to request drawings, models, photos, or anything else that you have that would show us the general enclosure construction (steel vs aluminum, corrugated vs smooth skin, ISO corners vs D-rings, forklift pockets vs skids etc.). Answer: Drawings will be available with the RFP. Question: Will the Government provide access to the TDP before we submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice? Answer: Any resulting RFP will include all necessary TDP documents. All interested parties will need to be registered in SAM and JCP to review the TDP. Question: The CAGE codes do not exist in SAM for most of the lines in the BOM. Answer: See updated BOM with vendor names.
