- Description
- Synopsis: F-35 ALTER FUEL CELL B-385. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for construction of this project including interested Small Business sources. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. The USPFO for Vermont, Purchasing and Contracting Office, may issue a solicitation and award a contract to alter Building 385 subject to the availability of funds. Scope of the project includes the alteration of the existing facility to accommodate F-35 operations including bring all required power (270 VDC) and HVAC (overhead infrared radiant heat and ducting/power panels for equipment to provide cooling air for aircraft avionics) to one (1) covered parking spot. Facility will receive a lightning protection system adequate for F-35 operations. Facility has been designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements and UFC 1-200-02. The project complies with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements per unified facilities criteria. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 29 December 2017. This notification, which shall not exceed five (5) typewritten pages, MUST include: (1) Positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor; (2) Completed and signed F-35 Alter Fuel Cell B-385 Sources Sought Information Request Form (attached and should be counted as part of the five page maximum); (3) Listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included. Indicate if you were the prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor; (4) Brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that will be used to accomplish the contract. In the event a sufficient number of Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
