- 18Q0037 Request for Quote with SOW This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. The RFQ number is N3904018Q0037. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-96 and DFARS Change Notice 2017-1208. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 332912 and the Small Business Standard is 1,000 employees. This is a SOLE SOURCE solicitation. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: The removal of two (2) existing HPACs (Model 5R5-75RB) installed shipboard, and replacement with two (2) AERP provided HPACs (Model 5R5-75RB with PLC) in accordance with Technical Manuals. ***This is a sole source solicitation to Rix Industries. This sole source solicitation is based on Rix Industries as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Per Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Authorized Work Package (AWP), the High Pressure Air Compressor (HPAC) rip out and reinstall shall be completed by the OEM.*** -The Period of Performance (POP) for rip out is requested to begin 1/15/17, with testing scheduled for 2/1/18, and an estimated completion date of 4/1/18. -Some dates may be subject to change. -Place of performance is the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME.
