- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: HAZMAT Remediation IDIQ This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION; not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists and determine the practices of company's engaged in providing the needed construction. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. We are seeking information for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract providing remediation and abatement requirement needs for military facilities at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Texas. Delivery Orders (DO) will be issued under the general contract to include a broad range of work to prepare remediation plans and abatement strategies, perform activates according to those plans and strategies to support maintenance, repair, alteration, and cleanup of real property at JBSA. The projects will include tasks in a variety of trades including, but not limited to: limited scope demolition and repair of facility components such as structural members, Architectural features, systems and finishes, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing features and system incidental to remediation plans and abatement strategies. The contractor may be required to perform work not anticipated at the time of award, but within the original scope of work. Additional tasks may include emergency planning and abatement when needed. The intention of this IDIQ is to perform testing and develop remediation plans and abatement strategies and where feasible to execute those plans and strategies or to have those plans and strategies performed by others to support other contracted efforts. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought, the Government will determine the solicitation strategy. The Government anticipates awarding a contract for five one-year ordering periods beginning 17 July 2018 to 16 July 2023. The magnitude of the contract will be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. It is anticipated that a firm, fixed-price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The NAICS Code is 238910 (Site Preparation Contractors). Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. A response to this sources sought notice will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: It is requested that interested businesses submit to the Contracting Office a brief capabilities statement. The Capability Statement shall address, as a minimum, the following: 1) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contracts (not to exceed three) to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value, and brief description; and 2) information about your company and your capabilities to perform this requirement. Any information provided is voluntary. The sources sought is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. All submissions must be made no later than 1400 CST on Thursday, 4 January 2018. Responses must be sent electronically to SSgt Macy Wester at macy.wester@us.af.mil. The Government WILL NOT provide a debrief on the results of the survey. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended.
