- List of Items Statement of Work The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract with Schottel, Inc citing FAR Part 6 subpart 6.302-1. To the best of the Government's knowledge, there are not any other firms that can satisfy this requirement. The work to be done under this contract consists of providing a Hydraulic Clutch for the Schottel K 305 Main Engine is a product specifically for use on Tender, Motor Vessel Ward. These parts must be OEM parts to meet service ability requirements of the vessel propulsions system. These listed parts will bring our two stand-by clutches to full working order and maintain stock to render repair during the dredge operations to meet our mission requirements with minimum down time, as emergency repairs are needed. The award of this contract will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.106(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS, however interested firms may submit a capability statement in response to the above requirement with cost/price information by December 27, 2017 @ 11:00 AM CST to Kendell M. A determination by the Government not to open competition based responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
