Description

COMBINED SYNOPSIS The Department of Veteran Affairs, Iowa City, IA, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority FAR 6.302-3 with the University of Iowa for the period of 10/1/2017 to 9/30/2018 to provide necessary labor and materials to use human skeletal myotubes to determine cellular mechanisms that ursolic acid and compound A utilize to increase muscle mass and improve muscle function. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Request for quotes #36C26318Q0199 for support of research project, "Prevention and Treatment of Skeletal Muscle Atrophy," Principal Investigator: Christopher Adams, Grant #RX001477, NAICS 611310, size standard $33.5 million will be issued on 9/1/2017. The deadline to submit a quote is 9/15/2017.
