- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing). A Getinge 8666 Washer/Disinfector is known to meet the Government s needs. Material of Construction must be: Stainless Steel EN 1.4301, AISI 304. Effective Chamber Dimensions are Width = 26&3/16 ; Depth =283/8 ; and Height = 26&1/4. Chamber Volume = 11.02 FT ³. Material of Construction: Stainless Steel EN 1.4404, AISA 316L Noise Level when operating: 57-62 dBA Max Surface Operating Temperature: 122 degrees F (50 degrees C) Operating Heat to Exhaust: Max 13649 BTU/HR (4000W) During Drying. Radiant Heat Loss: Max ambient heat emissions from the machine are 5118 BTU/HR(1500W) applies when the ambient temperature is 74 degrees F (23 degrees C) During Thermal Disinfection Phase. Air Humidity: Max 80% at 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). Room Temperature During Operating Conditions: 41-104 degrees F (5-40 degrees C) This equipment has the functions of: Cleaning, disinfection and drying of medial and laboratory equipment. The machine must be equipped with either one or two glass doors, which are motorized and can be opened or closed vertically. Doors must also have crush protection device activation that blocks closing if their opening is blocked. An interlocking system must be active in double doors so that cross-contamination is prevented by allowing one door to open when operating. Guide for loader and transport trolley must be present in machine, as this machine will hook up with a duplicate machine of the same type, make and model already within use at this same Govt facility. A wash chamber that holds 430 liters of Gross volume cleaning fluids, and uses 312 liters of Effective volume cleaning fluids. Docking point in wash area that secures the wash cart in the chamber during washing, and is also an inlet for warm air and water. Transport trolley and wash carts specifically made for this System, which will activate the cleaning cycle of machine only when they are placed correctly on run guides and safety controls are triggered with exact carts and transport trolley. Automatic loading system so loading systems are fitted with a fixed scanner for automatic program selection. Machine must also clean and flush lumened instruments. Machine must have dedicated VPN connection to enable communication with Censis Censitrac Program. Temperature of water should be adjustable Uses DI or RO water for cleaning and rinsing cycles Machine should have ability to run different configurations of cycles to enable SPS department to meet the IFU for different pieces of surgical instrumentation Steam heated sump Vented drying exhaust Enzymatic, detergent, and lubricant cycles 208V Connection Ability to have STAT process for emergencies Must have drying cycle Must have clean side printer Must have descaling cycle Machine must have ability to trigger alarm in another room, signaling the Washer-Disinfector cycle has finished. The Washer-Disinfector will physically be located around the corner in the Prep and Pack area, so will not be visible when working in Prep and Pack. The alarm also needs to work with existing Getinge 8666 Washer-Disinfector, as this machine also needs an alarm. Racks and Trolleys for Washer-Disinfector should have ability to spray from the top, middle and bottom of machine. These arms, depending on their position in the washer, should also rotate for best cleaning. The bottom racks should spray up, the top rack should spray down, and the middle rack should spray both up and down. The racks should also have minimum of 3 shelves for optimum efficiency. Must use same trolley and cart system and pass-through window as existing Getinge 8666 Washer-Disinfector. Current space is only available for one trolley and cart system, to be utilized between two Washer-Disinfectors. All racks should be interchangeable between the existing Washer-Disinfector and the new Washer-Disinfectors. Both water and air should circulate through the arms, for more efficient cleaning and drying. Racks with hook-ups available for flushing annulated/lumened items Shelves on the racks should be removeable for easy of cleaning Spray arms should disassemble for routine cleaning/maintenance Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-Verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
