Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17 intends to award a firm-fixed price contract, on a sole source basis, to Beckman Coulter, Inc., 250 Kraemer Blvd, Brea, CA 92821 to provide a Cost Per Test Lease Agreement for Urinalysis Equipment to the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the Dallas VA Medical Center, 4500 S Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. The period of performance is January 1, 2018 through June 30, 2018. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(10(i)(B), only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. An approved justification for other than full and open competition will be posted prior to award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements in lieu of a sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
