Description
This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background: Memphis VAMC Research Department (Customer) needs a replacement Molecular Device s Spectramax 340PC 384. Customer existing unit has been inoperable and unrepairable for several months and has forced research personnel to use/borrow from other sections with similar, but not the same, equipment with inconsistent and conflicting results. Customer considered Biotek Epoch2 or BMG Spectrostar Nano for a replacement device, but decided that the Molecular Device s Spectramax 340PC 384 is the best instrument to meet all of their needs relative to familiarity of use, ease of operation and maintenance, and assurance of research/data integrity. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 334516 and sized standard is 1000 employees. NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. Project requirements: New, not refurbished or grey-market type: One (1) Molecular Devices brand Spectramax 340PC 384 microplate reader (90V to 240) with current version of SoftMax Pro, user manual, dust cover, interface cable, 1 year MDCare PhD Technical Support Plan and 1 year parts & labor warranty. Deliverable within 14 days ARO. Anticipated period of performance: NA. Single-commodity buy. Other important considerations: Cite any other information that is necessary for potential respondents to understand the nature of the potential requirement or proposed acquisition.   Capability statement /information sought: Response to this announcement shall not to exceed 3 pages and should include the following information: (1) A tailored capability statement indicating the firm s ability to provide a product and related services; (2) The respondents DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., SDVOSB/VOSB, etc,) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; (3) Information should be provided electronically in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format; (4) Letter from OEM that offeror is an authorized distributor Response Requirements: Please e-mail your response with the above information to Sascha.hertslet@va.gov or fax to 615.849.3769 with the subject line "Sources Sought Notice # 36C24918Q0187. by 4:30 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
