Description
Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Procurement Office, in support of the DoDEA-Pacific East Student Logistics is conducting Market Research to identify potential responsible sources capable of providing lease bus and maintenance services on daily commute school buses in Japan. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for conducting Market Research and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and does not obligate the Government to any current or future commitments. The Government will not pay or reimburse any costs or charges the contractor incurred as a result from a Contractors' responding to this RFI. The Government will not accept any proposals or quotes based on this notice. DoDEA Pacific East, Logistics requires the lease and maintenance of 138 school busing fleet which meets the Government of Japan, Motor Vehicle Standards. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, and services necessary to perform these requirements. Projected period of performance is 1 August 2018 through 31 July 2019 with four one-year subsequent optional periods. This acquisition will be solicited as a full and open competitive procurement utilizing the procedures in FAR Part 15 but the government reserves the right to use FAR Part 13 if the requirement changes. If your firm or company is interested, capable and qualified to provide these services, please submit a written capability statement demonstrating your company capabilities of meeting the requirement. Your capability statements shall consist of no more than 5 pages, including a cover page with your company's name, business mailing address, point of contact, telephone number, Duns & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and Commercial and Government Entity/NATO Code (CAGE/NCAGE) and Small Business Size. If you are an interested vendor, please add your company's information to the interested vendor's list on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). Please be advised that offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award (https://www.sam.gov ) Capabilities submissions and inquiries must be sent electronically to Ms. Yolanda McCray at email Yolanda.McCray@hq.dodea.edu not later than 16:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on or before 19 January 2018. Vendor's e-mail message shall state "HE1254-18-R-JAPAN in the subject line. Telephone calls regarding this RFI will not be accepted.
