Description
AMENDMENT 4 - NOTICE FOR B-1 BRU-56 RESPONSE DATE EXTENSION FOR AMENDMENT 2 RFI RESPONSES Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) B-1 Bomber Division (WWD), Tinker Air Force Base, is hosting an Industry Day as a means of conducting market research. The results of this market research will contribute to the acquisition strategy development and determining the method of procurement. The purpose of this market research is to seek additional information from aircraft integration contractors regarding the modification of the B-1 BRU-56 Bomb Rack assembly for the aircraft fleet. A Government Industry Day was held on 09 January 2018 at MID-DEL Technology Center, 1621 Maple Drive, Midwest City, OK 73110. The purpose was to solicit industry feedback for implementing its proposed acquisition strategy via an unclassified introduction/overview presentation and question & answer session as well as a bidder's library review. Questions collected during the industry day will be posted at a later date. During the industry day it was requested to have the due date for RFI responses extended to allow more time for producing a better ROM (RFI question number 8). It was also requested to provide a detailed engineering drawing for ROM assistance; however, the Government will not currently provide the detailed engineering drawing until the solicitation is issued. The bidder's library information was provided to assist with creating the ROM. Responses to the Amendment 2 RFI 11 questions and any additional questions have been extended and are due not later than 29 January 2018. Responses can be white papers and/or slide presentation in Microsoft Office 2013 - compatible format and can be submitted via email (if less than 3 megabytes) or mail. If mailed, please include 2 (two) complete, hard-copies of the response. Email responses to: stephen.palmer@us.af.mil or mail responses shall be submitted to: AFLCMC/WWK Attn: Stephen Palmer 3001 Staff Drive, Post 2AG-85B Tinker AFB, OK 73145 Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any costs incurred in response to this event; all costs associated with responding to this effort will be solely at the interested party's expense. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted by e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Stephen Palmer, stephen.palmer@us.af.mil. Verbal questions will not be accepted.
