Description
Market Research for the FAR Part 135 Domestic Charter and Cargo Services, performance of services shall take place within the CONUS, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and the US Territories, using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes 481211 for Nonscheduled Chartered Passenger Air Transportation and 481212 for Nonscheduled Chartered Freight Air Transportation. The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition Directorate (TCAQ) is conducting market research in support of the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 135 Domestic Airlift Services acquisition. With this acquisition, the Government anticipates contractors shall provide domestic air cargo and passenger charter services on FAR Part 135 approved aircraft. Services include all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform air charter transportation services for both ad hoc and long-term domestic passenger or cargo requirements at both military and commercial airfields. Performance of services shall take place within the Continental United States (CONUS), Alaska, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and the US Territories as specified in the individual solicitation or delivery order. The objective of this market research is to determine if charter air transportation services required in supporting the war fighter are customarily available in the commercial market and to determine the most suitable method for acquiring these services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes to be used for this procurement are 481211 for Nonscheduled Chartered Passenger Air Transportation and 481212 for Nonscheduled Chartered Freight Air Transportation. INDUSTRY DAY - United States Transportation Command's (USTRANSCOM's) Acquisition Directorate will be conducting an Industry Day meeting for the FAR Part 135 Domestic Airlift Services contract. This meeting will be held at the Education Center, Building 1650, Room 94, at Scott AFB, IL 62225, Wednesday, 31 January 2018. There will be a briefing and discussion on the program history and requirements in the morning from 8:00-10:00AM. Individual break-out sessions will be scheduled for twenty to thirty minutes immediately following the morning discussion. Industry partners interested in this acquisition are invited to attend. If you are interested in attending, you must supply the following information NLT 24 January 2018, 5:00PM CST: Business Name, Business Representatives, phone numbers and business titles. Please also include whether or not you would like to be scheduled for an individual breakout session. Topics of Interest: USTRANSCOM Acquisition Directorate is soliciting suggested topics for the possibility to be presented during the briefing session.
