Description

This proposed contract action is for a firm fixed-price order from the VA National Acquisition Center (NAC) contract V797P-30172 with Pentax of America, Inc., for a period of twelve months and with a purchase option. The Government intends to award this requirement as a sole source to Pentax of America, Inc. based on the reason that only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies and services ordered are unique or highly specialized. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency if received by 9:00am EST, January 18, 2018 via the POC email below. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. A determination by the Government to not compete this contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn VA Medical Center, requires that the Contractor shall lease to the Government video gastroscopes, duodenoscopes, and colonoscopes for the performance of endoscopic ultrasonography, with full maintenance service and an option to purchase. Some items are not available from the NAC contract and are priced on the open market. The Contractor shall also provide full maintenance service support for the leased equipment. The following are the equipment items to be leased and possibly purchased: Model EG-3870UTK: Ultrasound Video Endoscope, 2 each Model EG-3670URK: Ultrasound Video Endoscope, 2 each Model ED-3490TK: Duodenoscope, 2 each Model EC-2990LI*: HD Video Colonoscope; High Definition, 1 each Model EC-3490TLI*: HD Video Colonoscope; Retro View, 2 each Model EC38-I10L*: HD Video Colonoscope, 8 each Model EG29-I10*: HD Video Gastroscope, 5 each Model EPK-I5010*: Video Processor, 3 each Model NDS26LED*: National Display 42-inch Radiance HD Monitor LCD, 1 each Model NDS42HD: LCD Monitor, National Display 42-inch, 1 each Model EG-1690K: Video Gastroscope; 2.0 mm Channel; 5.4mm Tube Diameter, 1 each Model EG-3490K: Video Gastroscope; 3.8mm Channel; 11.6mm Tube Diameter, 1 each Model VIDEO/MON CABLE PK*: Scope Processor/Monitor Integration Package, 3 packages Full Maintenance Service is for all above items, except for Model NDS26LED, NDS42HD, and VIDEO/MON CABLE PK *Denotes an Open Market Item The Brooklyn VA Medical Center is located at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, New York 11209-7104 and is where the equipment will be used and maintained.
