- ***UPDATE: 1/11/2018*** The purpose of this notice is to communicate a status update for the USPTO's SDI-NG2 procurement. Since the last update was posted on 7/10/2017, USPTO has been working diligently to finalize the acquisition strategy for this requirement. Due to the size and complexity of the requirement, planning efforts have extended beyond the "Anticipated Schedule" outlined in the previous notice. However, the USPTO still anticipates releasing a solicitation in FY-18. At this time, we cannot provide an exact date of our next communication, but we do expect a more detailed announcement in the near future. Thank you for your continued interest in supporting the USPTO and the SDI-NG2 requirement. Please continue monitoring FBO for details. ***UPDATE: 7/10/2017*** The purpose of this notice is to communicate USPTO's anticipated timeline for the upcoming SDI-NG2 solicitation. Please note that the below schedule is tentative, and is subject to change. Please continue monitoring FBO for details. Anticipated Schedule: DRAFT (Request for Proposal) RFP release: Q4, FY-17 (Est. 8/28/2017) Deadline to submit feedback on DRAFT RFP: Q4, FY-17 (Est. 9/19/2017) Final RFP release: Q1, FY-18 (Est. 11/7/2017) Initial Proposals due: Q1, FY-18 (Est. 12/7/2017) Technical Challenge: Q3, FY-18 Award: Q1, FY-19 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10. This RFI is issued for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract.
