Description

Special Notice DLA Land and Maritime intends to issue a single source contract extension to SRI International (03652) to continue work being performed on the long term Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) contract SPM7MX-13-D-0081. This contract will extend the period of performance of (9) months from its effective date of May 01, 2018 through January 31, 2019. This contract action will be completed by issuance of a contract modification under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contract award is a long-term Indefinite Delivery, Requirement Type Contract (RTC) for the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) Production Program. This solicitation will issued under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15 - Contracting by Negotiation. Within DLA, there is an identified need for a continuing requirement to support non-procurable Federal Stock Class (FSC) 5962 microcircuits and their directly related engineering services for placement and utilization on electronic assemblies. This action is being pursued to maintain the GEM capability to provide full-scale production of microelectronic devices that meet Form, Fit, Function, and Interface (F3I) of the original devices. All work under this contract shall be performed in accordance with the GEM Statement of Work (SOW). The current long-term contract is scheduled to end on April 30, 2018. All terms and conditions as indicated in the current contract, SPM7MX-13-D-0081, will remain the same for this single source contract extension.
