- UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS THAT LIMIT AVAILABILITY TO ONLY ONE MANUFACTURER, WITH THE REASON NO OTHER MANUFACTURER CAN BE USED: The station currently uses Verathon Glidescopes for emergent airway management. These two replacement units are needed to support general anesthesia and intubation requirements in the OR. The new units need to be Verathon Glidescopes to be compatible with existing equipment. The single patient use handles are interchangeable between units that we currently carry.
