This is a Presolicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The plans and technical specifications for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), W912P5-17-B-0003, for the Shepherd's Street Bridge Replacement projected located in Cumberland, Kentucky. This construction project consists of the following construction activities: demolition of the existing Shepherd Street bridge including roadway, abutments, and drainage structures; relocation of water lines, sewer lines, and fire hydrant; cutting back channel slopes adjacent to the new bridge abutments and placement of channel lining stone; construction of a new two lane bridge containing one 74 ft. long span of pre-stressed adjacent concrete box beams, concrete decking, end bents founded on H-piles, curbs, and sidewalk on the downstream side of the bridge; construction of new drainage structures; and asphalt paving. A Site Visit has been scheduled for Thursday - January 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM Eastern. The location will be posted shortly. This description is not intended to be all encompassing and is subject to change. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 237310 and $36.5 Million TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Total Small Business Set-Aside ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of all potential offerors to monitor the FBO website for any amendments, updates, responses to industry questions/comments, etc. The Government will not be maintaining a mailing list. The project location has special security requirements that will be identified in the solicitation. There will be one organized site visit. No other site visit will be permitted. The solicitation will contain detailed instructions pertaining to registering to attend the site visit. Registration to attend the site visit will be required and there will be a deadline to submit registration information.
