This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background: Lexington VA Medical Center- Lees Division (Customer) is seeking twenty-five (25) brand new ergonomic-type office chairs. Customer has bought Herman Miller Aeron model chairs and Haworth Improv model chairs in the past. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 337214 and sized standard is 1000 employees. NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. Project requirements: Preliminary market research has narrowed the specs and functionality to fall within the following brands / models: SpaceSeating s Professional R2 SpaceGrid Back and Seat Chair Haworth s Zody Chair Herman Miller s Aeron Chair Specs / Features: 1. Pneumatic Seat height adjustment 2. Seat Depth Adjustment 3. Tilt Tension Adjustment 4. Forward Tilt Adjustment 5. Back Lock Adjustment 6. Multiple Arm Rest Adjustment: Height, Width, Depth, and In/Out positioning 7. Back Ht. Adjustment 8. Lumbar Depth Adjustment 9. Mesh-type material for seat back and seat itself 10. Durable casters for carpet and hard floors Products must be new, not refurbished, used, or grey-market type. If vendor has another device meeting similar specs and features to the already given brands/models, please submit appropriate documentation for review. Anticipated period of performance: NA. Single-commodity buy. Other important considerations: Products must be fully-assembled before delivery or in a ready to assemble (RTA) state involving attaching the assembled seat to the base stand with minimal tools. Identification of any patented features / materials. Capability statement /information sought: Response to this announcement shall not to exceed 4 pages and should include the following information: (1) A tailored capability statement indicating the firm s ability to provide a product and related services; (2) The respondents DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., SDVOSB/VOSB, etc,) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; (3) Information should be provided electronically in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format; (4) Letter from OEM that offeror is an authorized distributor/reseller.
